The Year 3 Staff

3DD is taught by Mrs Davis Mondays to Thursdays with Mrs Daniell every Friday.  3FW is taught by Miss Woods.

PPA in 3FW is covered by Mr Jalloh.  3DD PPA is covered between Mrs Davis and Mrs Daniell.

What our week looks like

English, Maths, spellings and handwriting are taught daily. Reading  is taught 3 times a week.   P.E. takes place every Wednesday and Friday in 3DD and every Thursday and Friday in 3LP. Children come to school wearing their P.E. kit on the day that they have P.E. and remove any earrings. 

For homework, your child will be asked to complete 2 activities in their homework booklets. This will be a combination of SPaG, Maths or reading.

In preparation for the Y4 Times Table test, we have dedicated Times Table time in class. Children can log in to Times Table Rockstars with their individual login to support this learning.

Children take home a school reading book matched to their reading level.  They can change their reading book on a Tuesday and Friday morning. Children should aim to read their home reading book at least 3 times a week for 20 minutes and the child or parents/carers can write a comment in their home reading book.  Every child has a reading book mark with questions on it.  These questions are to support parents/carers in asking children questions about what they have read. Children need to bring their reading book and reading record into school every day.
